Waterfront Cottage
Beautiful Simplicity
The crown in the jewel of the Bruce Anchor accommodation is our rustic waterfront cottage.
Built in the era of early cottage building in Tobermory, this exquisite two-bedroom cottage is panelled in wood with a unique tree-trunk bannister on the staircase leading to the loft. The wide-open loft space has two double beds. There is a double bed in each of the lower level bedrooms.
It has a three-piece bath (with shower), and an airtight wood-burning stove for warmth on cool nights. The cottage also has a colour TV with cable.
Large windows and sliding glass doors frame a panoramic view of the water, with Big Tub Harbour and Big Tub lighthouse to the left, and the entrance to Little Tub Harbour to the right. The everchanging mood of Georgian Bay is reflected in the changing hues of the water, from turquoise to blue to green and back again.
From the cottage's deck, enjoy a private viewing of the ChiCheemaun car ferry as it backs out and turns broadside directly in front on its daily trips to Manitoulin Island.
Sunbathe or relax on the private deck, or descend to the water from the Sunset Deck adjacent to the cottage. The flat slabs of rock on the water's edge are ideal for sunbathing or diving and swimming.
